On
March 19, 2006 one former (Sara Klamo) and three current members (Theo
Agapie, Dave Weinberg and Travis Williams) of the Bercaw group and Christine
Thomas (Peters Group) participated in the 21st Los Angeles Marathon. See

Again, it was a short three-day hike from the Lake Sabrina to the Dingleberry Lake. We car-camped at the Forks Campground (about 4 miles away from the trailhead). Mmmm, beer, steaks and ice-cream. Next day, we started out towards and then past the Blue Lake to our first (and only) campsite (here is another view) right by a stream. There, we had a quick lunch (another view, and yet another) while waiting for Tom, set up tents, and prepared for dinner. Dinner (mmm, pesto and ravioli) was followed by the second cocktail hour and some stargazing. Unfortunately, it rained intermittently over the next two days. We tried to get to the Hungry Packer Lake next day, but had to turn back after sitting out most of the rain on the way up. We did see the Topsy Turvy Lake. On the last day, we packed up, crossed the stream and hiked out. Everyone was ready for lunch at BBQ-Bills. Group Hike '99. It was a short three-day hike. We started out at the Onion Valley and hiked over the Kearsarge Pass to our first campsite (mmm, pesto and ravioli) at the Kearsarge Lakes (here is a view of the Kearsarge Pinnacles). Next day we walked west to the Charlotte Lake and took the afternoon off.
