Final 40%, Midterm 30%, Homework and Quizzes 30%.
For final grade, the lowest score of the homework and quizzes will be dropped.
There will be 4 homework sets and 4 in class quizzes.
Quizzes will be on Oct. 14 and 28, Nov. 11 and Dec 2.
You may work together in small groups on homework problems. However, everyone must contribute to the effort. In addition, division of labor (some students work on one problem; others on another) is explicitly forbidden. In addition, consulting the internet for answers is forbidden. Talk to the TA’s if you need help.
All exams are take-home, closed book, no collaboration.
