Homework Policy
Problem Sets, assigned once per week, are to be returned in appropriate boxes just inside the lecture hall in 151 Crellin. Solutions to problem sets will be posted on the bulletin board facing the elevator on the second floor of Noyes. Also see this website for handouts and problem sets. Assignments turned in one day late will be assessed at 50% penalty; two days, 75% off; anything more than two days will be graded, but no credit will be allowed. Collaboration is allowed, but each collaborator is expected to work all problems.

Exams and Grading
There will be a mid-term examination during mid-term week and a final examination during finals week. Both will be approximately 3-hour take home exams. Overall course grading determined according to the following scheme:

Homework assignments: one-third
Mid-term examination: one-third
Final Examination: one third
